Bucs fall to Coastal on Senior Day, 5-4; CSU draws top-seeded Campbell in Big South Tournament opener

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Visiting Coastal Carolina manufactured runs in the sixth and the seventh innings to rally from a 3-1 deficit and top Charleston Southern, 5-4, in the Bucs regular season final on Saturday at CSU Ballpark.

Errors costly in Bucs' loss to Coastal, 6-2

  CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston Southern Buccaneers committed five errors and Coastal Carolina starter Seth Lamando held the Bucs to five hits in a 6-2 CCU win on Friday night at CSU Ballpark.  

The Bucs fall to 22-31 overall and 11-12 in Big South play. Coastal moves to 34-19 overall and 17-6 in league play. Coastal is locked into the No. 2 seed in next week’s Big South Tournament. CSU is in the tournament field and could be seeded anywhere from sixth to eighth.

Seniors move Bucs into Big South Tournament with 7-3 win over rival Coastal

 CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern’s Jaren Sustar ripped a three-run double as part of a five-run Buccaneers’ fourth inning to carry CSU past visiting Coastal Carolina, 7-3, in the opener of a Big South Conference series on Thursday night at CSU Ballpark.  

The win clinches a spot in next week’s Big South Championship in Lynchburg, Va. and ends a five-game losing streak to the Chanticleers.

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston Southern women’s basketball team and head coach Fred Applin announced the signing of Natasha Lebedeva, Alise Karlsone and Marley Brown to National Letters of the Intent for the 2013-14 school year.
