Tazi, Franzi Earn All-Conference HonorsApril 13, 2006By CSU Sports Information
CHARLESTON, S.C. - Junior Meryam Tazi picked up all-conference honors in singles, while pairing up with sophomore Rebecca Franzi to earn all-conference honors in doubles, it was announced Wednesday by the conference office. Tazi carried an 8-6 overall record, while holding a 6-1 conference mark. She ended the regular season winning eight of her last 10 matches. The Lady Bucs' number one doubles team was named all-conference after compiling an 8-5 overall record with a 4-3 conference record. CSU earned the number five seed in the conference tournament and will face host Birmingham-Southern in the first round. |
