Price Named Pre-Season All-AmericanJuly 19, 2006By CSU Sports Information Maurice Price |
CHARLESTON, S.C. – Junior wide receiver Maurice Price was named third-team pre-season All-American by I-AA.org going into the 2006 football season. Price is the lone Buccaneer to earn a spot on the pre-season teams that were posted earlier this week.
Price led the Buccaneers with 72 receptions for 1,043 yards in 2005. He led the country in receptions per game, but was ineligible for the award because he didn’t play in enough games due to an injury early in the season. The CSU standout would have been second in the country with 130.4 yards per game as well.
The Buccaneers will start the 2006 campaign on the road at Presbyterian, Sept. 2.
