Collin Drafts has been named an all-star by I-AA.org, the news service covering NCAA Football Division I-AA, for his performance in the Buccaneer's victory over The Citadel on Sept. 9. Drafts is one of four athletes to earn the weekly honor.
Drafts led Charleston Southern to its first-ever win against area rival The Citadel, piling up 355 yards of total offense as the Buccaneers won 38-35 indouble overtime Saturday on the road. Drafts was 24-of-35 passing for 320 yards, including a 25-yard scoring strike to Maurice Price in the first overtime. The Big South co-offensive player of the week also added 35 yards rushing and led three touchdown drives of 60 yards or more. The Bucs averaged 7.1 yards per play His 365 yards of total offense was the eighth-best total in Big South history and his 320 passing yards were the fifth-best total in conference history.
