Ellis Named Special Teams Player of the WeekOctober 16, 2006By CSU Sports Information
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charleston Southern kicker Nick Ellis was selected as Special Teams Player of the Week for his play during Week Seven (Oct. 14) of the 2006 season, it was announced today by the Conference office. Ellis, a junior from Stockbridge, Ga., was perfect on all six of his kicks Saturday vs. Edward Waters and scored 10 points for the Buccaneers. He was 4-4 on extra points and nailed two field goals (22, 25) on the day. Ellis needs just 13 points to become Charleston Southern’s all-time leading scorer among kickers.
