NORTH AURORA, Illinois - For the second year in a row, Maurice Price from Charleston Southern was awarded Offensive Receiver of the Year honors by Don Hansen's Football Gazette
Price, a junior, from Jackson, New Jersey, is just the seventh player in Division I-AA history to catch over 100 passes, finishing with 103. He became the CSU and Big South career-leader for receptions at 202 as well as the career-leader for receiving yards with 2,429. He led the Country with 9.36 receptions per game, and was ninth with 89.55 yards per game. Price totaled 985 total yards receiving and caught a season-high 166 yards against Gardner-Webb. He had 10 receiving touchdowns, caught 10 or more passes in five games this season, has eight games for his career, shattering the old record of three.
Senior quarterback Collin Drafts earned second-team offense honors, while juniors Jada Ross, Dennis Justiniani and C.J. Hirschman all made hte second-team defense.
