Lady Bucs participate in Bradford Creek Invitational, finish eighthMarch 11, 2003by CSU Sports Information GREENVILLE, N.C. - CSU competed in East Carolina's Bradford Creek Spring Invitational March 7-9, with two golfers finishing individually in the top ten. East Carolina dominated the event, finishing at three over par as a team, and topping the closest competitor, UNC Wilmington, by 23 strokes.
Charleston Southern finished Round One strong, sitting in sixth place and only seven strokes off second place. Round Two was not as kind, as the team fell eleven strokes from its opening 308. Team CSU completed the event 48 strokes behind ECU.
Juniors Tiffany Shoppe and Erica Donovan both shot an outstanding 4-over for the tourney, tying for ninth place in individual standings.
Other Lady Buc competitors were Julie St. Onge (48th at +18), Sara McFadden (60th at +25), and Ashley Cooke (72nd at +61). Strokes over par are based on two rounds of play. |
