Herzog Named All-Conference

Stephen Herzog

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Named to the Johnny Bench Award watch list early in the season, Stephen Herzog finished his CSU career earning second-team all-conference honors, it was announced by the League office, Wednesday afternoon.

Herzog played in all but one game this season, hitting .276 for the season. He led the team in homeruns with eight, had one triple and 12 doubles. He also led the team with 38 RBI, and was third in the Big South with 16 stolen bases.

Also earning recognition was Ryan Rowland, who earned all-academic team honors, finishing his career with a perfect 4.0 GPA in business and accounting. He has 58 career strikeouts in two seasons at CSU and pitched 8.1 innings against College of Charleston in 2006, giving up just two hits.
