Football Completes Staff With Secondary CoachFebruary 25, 2008By CSU Sports Information CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern Head Football Coach Jay Mills has announced the hiring of Chad Staggs as the new secondary’s coach, replacing Marcus Gladden. Stags has been up I-26 at South Carolina since 2003, having coached under both Lou Holtz and Steve Spurrier as a graduate assistant. There, Staggs worked with the linebackers, defensive backs and special teams. He also organized the scout team and scouting reports for the Gamecocks. Staggs graduated from USC Spartanburg in 2000 before receiving his master’s degree from South Carolina in 2007. Staggs and his wife, Kelli, have one daughter, Anna Grace.
