Conference Heat Schedule ReleasedApril 16, 2008By CSU Sports Information CHARLESTON, S.C. - The heat schedule for the 2008 New Balance Big South Outdoor Track and Field Championships have been released, in preparation for Thursday's 2 p.m. start. Both CSU teams are expected be near the top of the standings after the weekend, with the majority of their points coming in the sprint events. The Bucs hold the top two times in the 100m dash with Michael Rhue (10.39) and Alonzo Spurley (10.42), and the top three times in the 200m dash. Rhue (20.82) and Spurley (21.03) again lead the way, while Cornelius Tyler (21.16) is also up there. All three have already reached the provisional mark set by the NCAA, but will try to improve their standings over the weekend. In the 400m dash, it is Rhue (46.51) and Levi Brooks (47.01) who hold the top-two times, and again, stand as the only two in the Big South to have reached the NCAA mark. For the women, Kim Allen and Dionne Gibson have each run 11.86 seconds to tie for tops in the Big South, with CSU holding five of the top six times in the Big South. Misha Morris (11.89), Canchettar Delamar (11.91) and Jessica Thomas (11.93) round out the top runners in the event for CSU. With an NCAA-qualifying time of 23.80, Gibson holds almost a half-second advantage over the second-best time in the 200m dash. Delamar (24.40) and Morris (24.51) again are in the top-five in the event, holding the three and four spot, respectively. Ebony Muller ran a 55.97 second time in the 400m dash of the 49er Classic, the second-best time in the Conference this season. Links to the heat sheets, and live results can be found below.
