By CSU Sports Information
It has been an exciting year for former CSU hurler R.J. Swindle. On July 7, he became the first CSU baseball player to make an appearance in an MLB game, as he pitched for the Philadelphia Phillies.
Now, Swindle has another big game to prepare for, as he has joined Team Canada for the upcoming Olympics in Beijing, China. His Canadian team will face the hosting Chinese team in the opening round of competition. That contest will take place on Wednesday, August 13, at 11:30 a.m. as part of the eight-team round robin section. Swindle's Team Canada will take on the USA in their third game, taking place at 10:30 a.m., August 16.
The top four teams from the round robin will advance to the final round with hopes of claiming the gold medal.
