Parnell Hoping to Get His ChanceSeptember 1, 2008By CSU Sports Information NEW YORK, N.Y. - After just five games in the Triple-A system, the New York Mets have called up former CSU pitcher Bobby Parnell. In doing some, he becomes the second Buccaneer this season to appear on a Major League Baseball roster. In New Orleans, Parnell pitched 20.1 innings and had a 2-2 record in five games. Possibly most impressive, is the fact that he struck out 23 batters, walking just four. The Mets are at Milwaukee on Tuesday and Wednesday before hosting Philadelphia for a weekend series. |
