CHARLESTON, S.C. - With Hurricane Hanna still threatening the coast, the Charleston Southern and Wofford administrations got together and agreed to move the game to Spartanburg, S.C. The game will be played on Saturday, Sept. 6, at 6 p.m. inside Gibbs Stadium.
"Our primary interest is the safety of our coaches, players and fans, and there was a real desire to get the game played," said CSU Athletics Director Hank Small. "We felt it was in everyone's best interest to move it further from the coast. Wofford was kind enough to offer to host the contest."
Charleston Southern (0-1) will face Wofford (1-0) for the 11th time in school history.
