Price Signed By PatriotsSeptember 24, 2008By CSU Sports Information BOSTON, Mass. - It was reported late Tuesday that Maurice Price has agreed to terms with the New England Patriots. Price was released last week by the Chiefs and was said to have worked out for the Seahawks and Ravens before signing with the Patriots. He is expected to add size and speed to the receiving corps, and should also see action on special teams. While at CSU, Price became only the seventh receiver in the history of FCS (formerly I-AA) football to record over 100 receptions in a season. He is tied for the CSU record for receptions in a game at 13, and holds six of the top-eight single-game performances. With 2,429 yards, he is also the all-time leader in receiving yards at CSU. He holds the Big South career marks for receptions (202) receiving yards per game (93.4) and 100-yard receiving games (10). His record eight, 10-reception games is also tops in the Big South and shattered the old record of three. |
