The Cougars enter the game holding a 33-14 series advantage over the Buccaneers, with a 10-2 season record so far. They are currently on a 7-0 run in victories over their opponents.

The Bucs are entering the game off a late-rally win over Savannah State on Tuesday evening in Savannah, where they took the victory by a final of 7-5. The Tigers took an early lead at 5-0, but the Bucs battled back, holding the Tigers to their five runs, while bringing in seven of their own in the last three innings. The winning runs came on a 2RBI single from senior Kory Morian in the top of the ninth inning.
