Dunklin, West, Smith named team captains for 2003 seasonJanuary 13, 2004

CHARLESTON, SC - Charleston Southern head football coach recently announced that the 2003 football team selected team captains for the recently completed football season.
Selected as team captains by their teammates were senior receiver Aaron Dunklin, senior defensive end Jonathan West, and senior defensive back Tim Smith.
"Those players exemplifed the type of leadership and commitment to this program that we hope every player inherits in the future," said Mills recently. "By choosing them as team captains, their teammates are showing each player their appreciation for the leadership displayed this past season."
Dunklin also recently received honors from the Palmetto Touchdown Club, who named him CSU's Most Valuable Player for the 2003 season. Dunklin was honored at the annual Palmetto Touchdown Club jamboree on Tuesday night.
In other football news, it was announced recently that the CSU football team received the Most Improved Team GPA award for the 2003 fall semester. Seventeen members of the 2003 squad were recognized as CSU Scholar-Athletes for the fall semester.
