Lady Netters Drop to Eagles, 4-3

CHARLESTON, SC-  The Lady Buccaneers lost a close conference battle with the Lady Eagles of Winthrop University by a final of 4-3.  The loss moves the Lady Netters to 5-9 on the season and 4-3 in Big South play, while the Eagles advance to 12-8 and 3-0.

The Eagles swept the doubles decision while the singles matches split three and three.  The doubles decision for the Eagles was enough to push the Eagles to victory.

The Lady Bucs will round out their 2009 season with two non-conference matches against Mercer and the College of Charleston before heading to the conference tournament.  The Bucs will travel to Georgia for a 2 pm match with Mercer University on April 10 next.
