Friday's game, orginially scheduled for 6 p.m., has been cancelled due to rain. The two will still attempt to play both games of the originally scheduled for a double header on Saturday, starting at 1 p.m. Please check www.csusports.com or www.highpointpanthers.com for the latest updates.
The Bucs return to conference play as they head to High Point for a three game series with the Panthers, with one game on Friday night and a double header scheduled for Saturday. The Bucs lead the series record 18-7, but dropped the series last season 2-1.

The Panthers are coming into the game on a five game winning streak, with their most current win coming over North Carolina A&T by a 4-3 final on Wednesday evening. The Panthers are 6-7 in the Big South, and have been swept by two BSC teams, while they have swept one team, won one series 2-1, and won their single game played against Radford.
Batting .303 as a team, the Panthers are led from the plate by catcher Billy Alvino who is batting .407 in 28 appearances. Alvino leads the team in hits (44), doubles (10), and RBI (22).
Teammate Alfie Wheeler leads the Panthers with 32 runs scored on the season with a .379 average.

The Bucs’ starting pitcher for Friday, Anthony Markham is 1-3 on the season and has a 5.53 era in 40.2 innings. The only pitcher who has seen more time on the mound is Saturday’s game 2 starter Jesse Cadenhead who has worked 42.1 innings and holds a 3-2 record on the season. McCready or Thornburg are slated to start the second game of the series. Thornburg holds the best record and lowest era of the Buc pitching staff at 4-2, and 1.96, respectively.
Baseball Adds Game at Citadel
The Buccanner baseball team in conjunction with the The Citadel baseball team anounced that they would add a game Monday April 13 at 6 p.m. to be played at The Citadel. The addition is to help make up games that both teams have been forced to cancel due to inclement weather.
