In their previous meeting the Tigers took and early lead and looked to seal the victory before the Bucs were able to score seven runs in the last three innings to take the win 7-5.

The double header will close out the season for the Tigers, while it will mark the last non-conference meeting for the Bucs before they travel for their last conference series at Coastal Carolina.

The Tigers enter the contest 24-25 on the season. The Tigers are batting .315 as a team lead by Brandon Webster who is batting .444. The Tigers bring with them nine other players who are batting over .300. Center fielder Dexter Kelley leads the team with nine homers and 43 RBI, while Jonathan Ross leads with 59 hits.

The Bucs enter the game after dropping a double header to College of Charleston last week. The Bucs are lead from the plate by first baseman Nick Chinners, averaging .363, as the Bucs bat .294 as a team.

Designated hitter, Derek Smith, has hit back to back homers in the Bucs’ last two games, while Thornburg continues to lead the team with 11.

Pitchers for either team have not been announced.

Slugging it out

In two games at High Point, the Bucs pounded out 28 runs on 37 hits, splitting the double header with the Panthers. CSU had a combined five doubles, one triple and five home runs over the two-game stretch, including three homers by Tyler Thornburg. With a 21-4 victory in game one, it was the sixth time this season CSU has scored at least 10 runs, and the first time since May 11, 2002 that they have scored at least 20 runs. Thornburg set a new CSU record with eight RBI in the contest, while tying the school mark with five runs scored.
