BRADENTON, Fla. – Head Coach Kory Thompson and the Charleston Southern University women’s golf team play their third tournament of the fall season Monday and Tuesday at the USF Waterlefe Invitational, hosted by the University of South Florida. The first two rounds of the 54-hole event begin Monday at 8:30 a.m. at Waterlefe Golf and River Club. In addition to the Lady Bucs and USF, the event features the University of Alabama-Birmingham, Troy University, the University of South Alabama, Nova Southeastern University, Stetson University, Daytona State College, Campbell University, Florida Atlantic University, McNeese State, the University of Southern Mississippi, Arkansas State University, the University of Montana and Eckerd College. Campbell won the event last year, with USF finishing second. CSU is coming off of a fifth-place finish at the rain-shortened Great Smokies Intercollegiate. Amanda D'Ostroph led the Lady Bucs with a 1-over score of 73, good for a 13th-place tie. The event concludes Tuesday with one 18-hole round, commencing at 8:30 a.m. |
