Lady Bucs in 11th place at USF-Waterlefe Invitational

BRADENTON, Fla. – The Charleston Southern University women’s golf team is in 11th place after day one of the USF-Waterlefe Invitational, hosted by the University of South Florida. The Lady Bucs posted a score of 306-325-631 (+55), 42 shots behind Nova Southeastern University after 36 holes of play.

CSU’s Olivia Jordan-Higgins paced the Lady Bucs on the first day, shooting rounds of 72 and 78 for a 36-hole total of 150 (+6) at the 5,998, par 72 Waterlefe Golf and River Club. The reigning Big South Conference Golfer of the Year is tied for 13th, 11 shots back of Nova’s Taylor Collins, the individual overnight leader.

Madison Jeter is tied for 28th after shooting a 72-83-155 (+13), and Katelyn Bensch, playing in her first career tournament, is even with Jeter after rounds of 78 and 77. Amanda D'Ostroph, who led the way for Charleston Southern two weeks ago at the Great Smokies Intercollegiate, is tied for 74th after posting a score of 84-87-171 (+27). Katrin Rumpf is tied for 85th after shooting a 91-88-179 (+35).

The final round of the tournament begins Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m.
