LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Charleston Southern averaged 35:45.67, Saturday at the NCAA Southeast Regional Cross Country Meet, hosted by the University of Louisville, finishing 33rd as a team, just behind UNC Asheville and Winthrop.

“Overall it was a really good experience for us,” said Head Coach Ryan Thompson. “We ran well and it gave us good closure for the season. We finished right with some of the other Big South schools, which gives our guys confidence as we continue to try to move the program forward.”

Andrew King finished 149th overall with a time of 33:51.55 to lead CSU, improving almost 0:30 over his time from a year ago at the regional meet. Shaun Bisson clocked in at 34:41.80 to finish 178th. Matt Smith ran 35:06.54 to finish 192nd and Chris Seigler was 222nd with a time of 37:20.43. Brandon Harris’s time of 37:48.00 was good enough for 226th while Jesse Huff finished 230th with a time of 39:34.26.

The lone representative on the women’s side, Adrienne Cuff ran 24:47.44 on the 8k course to finish 208th overall, despite battling an illness.

The meet ends the cross country season for CSU, with the indoor track and field season starting up at the Roaring Tiger Invitational on December 4.
