CHARLESTON S.C. - Junior outside hitter Amanda Hill was named a Big South First-Team All-Conference selection, while Nichole Diller was voted to the All-Academic Team, it was announced Wednesday at the Dedmon Center in Radford, Va. Hill earned her second consecutive first-team award, after managing a second-team selection her freshman season. Diller made it three straight years as a member of the All-Academic team, after a 3.95 cumulative GPA to date.
Hill leads the team with 3.82 kills per set, 3.33 digs per set and 35 aces. She also leads the conference with a total of 432 kills and is third in kills per set. Hill is one of only two players in the conference in the top ten for both kills and digs.
Diller has had her best season as a senior. She is second on the team in kills per set with 2.27 and third on the team with .70 blocks per set. Diller has been on fire in conference play, recording 2.71 kills per set and 1.27 digs per set
Sam Sasan and Cori Holeman were also nominated for post-season accolades.
