Updates Continue With New Baseball ScoreboardJanuary 26, 2010By CSU Sports Information CHARLESTON, S.C. - Buccaneer Ballpark has seen yet another upgrade for the 2010 baseball season as a new scoreboard was completed this past weekend. After making a number of improvements in his first season at the helm, including new grandstands, a backstop net and covered batting cages, Head Coach Stuart Lake turned the fundraising efforts to a new scoreboard. The new board has an inning-by-inning scoring output, the batter's number, as well as ad panels on the bottom. "I am excited about the progress that we have been able to make at the stadium," said Lake. "None of this would be possible without the support of our administration, including Dr. Hunter, Dr. Brewer and Hank Small. They have supported us in our campaigns to enhance Buccaneer Ballpark in every way possible. Also, the hard work of the Building Buccaneer Baseball members, our players, alumni and families is never ending. Our staff will continue to work hard to make our alumni and supporters proud of CSU baseball." Other improvements that are scheduled to be made at Buccaneer Ballpark include a new windscreen with CSU logo and additional signage on the outfield fence, and logos on the covered batting cages. |
