CSU improved to 10-11 on the season while Augusta State, ranked 10th nationally in NCAA Division II, falls to 20-4 on the year. The same two teams will play on Saturday at 1 pm.
Junior outfielder Brian Sole and freshman designated hitter Jason Rose each tallied two hits for the Buccaneers, who managed only seven safeties as a team. Rose had a pair of RBI as well, giving him five RBI in his last two games.

CSU answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning. Woods beat the throw to first and Greene, never hesitating around third, was able to score when the low throw from the hole was bobbled by first baseman Andy Hudson. Rose then followed with a double to left center, scoring Woods from third.
CSU added a pair of unearned insurance runs in the seventh, with Rose driving in one and Jay Reynolds scoring Rose on a ground out.
