CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston Southern football team will conclude spring drills with the 2010 Memorial Spring Game, Saturday, April 10 at 2 p.m. Prior to the game, the first-ever gathering of the CSU Football Alumni Club will meet for a reception starting at noon in the Gold Room on campus.
Coach Jay Mills and his staff will also hand out the spring’s most improved awards at halftime, and will name the 2010 Edward A. Gadson Memorial Scholarship winner.
“Going into this final week of spring practice, I am really encouraged by how hard this group plays and works,” said Mills. “Our effort has consistently been at the winning level throughout the spring.”
A postgame BBQ will be held as a fundraiser for the Edward A. Gadson Scholarship immediately following the contest at Buccaneer Field. Alumni who are interested in joining the Football Alumni Club, or are planning to attend the pregame gathering, should contact Beth Boyle (firstname.lastname@example.org, 843-863-7678).
