Florida State matchup called off due to lightningApril 20, 2010By CSU Sports Information
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Charleston Southern baseball team scored five runs in the top of the third inning to tie the game at 5-5, but lightning in the area caused tonight's series opener with sixth-ranked Florida State University (28-9) to be cancelled. CSU (16-23) recorded the first two outs in the bottom half of the third before lightning began to near the field, causing the umpires to initially delay the game before finally calling it off completely. The second game of this mid-week series featuring the Seminoles and Buccaneers is set for 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21 on Mike Martin Field inside Dick Howser Stadium. |
