Football Team Returns to Campus, Starts Practice FridayAugust 5, 2010By CSU Sports Information CHARLESTON, S.C. – The 2010 Charleston Southern football team returned to campus Thursday, with less than one month before their season-opening game against the North Greenville Crusaders. The team began arriving on campus at 8 a.m. and will spend the day getting settled with meetings and orientation before taking to the practice field for the first time at 3:25 tomorrow afternoon. “I am really excited about this season,” said Head Coach Jay Mills. “We have a lot to look forward to this year, including opening the season at home and the automatic bid to the FCS playoffs that the winner of the Big South will earn starting this season. The guys have been working hard over the summer and I have heard some encouraging things from the strength and conditioning coach about the progress over the summer.” The season begins with three home games, something that has never happened in the history of the football program. North Greenville will be the first opponent, taking on the Bucs at 1:30 p.m. on September 4.
