CSU vs. Liberty Game Notes Available

By CSU Sports Information

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Game Notes for Saturday's football game between Charleston Southern University and Liberty are now available for media use. The Buccaneers and Flames will face off Saturday at 3:30 p.m. from Lynchburg, Va.

Charleston Southern is most recently coming off a bye week, giving them a chance to recover from the long trip, and tough loss, to Hawaii on September 25. Despite a 66-7 loss that tied the most points given up in school history, there were some things to cheer about for the Bucs, including Charles James and his record-tying two interception performance. A.J. Toscano moved into second in career passing and career total offensive yards, while DeMarcus Moon became the seventh player in CSU history to rush for 1,000 yards. Kwame Krakue moved into eighth in career receiving yards and is tied for seventh in career receptions.

Liberty opened their newly renovated stadium in style last weekend with a 52-14 victory over Savannah State. The Flames had a record crowd of 19,314 fans show up, shattering the old stadium record by more than 3,000. Liberty finished the game with a season-high 288 rushing yards, and paired that with 276 yards through the air. They have scored 50 or more points in four-straight games at Williams Stadium.

Saturday's game can be heard on WQNT 1450 AM in the Charleston area and can be viewed live on the internet through the Big South Network. The Flames Sports Network will also be carrying the contest on TV, the first of three consecutive CSU games that will be televised.
