Stevenson Named to Midseason Watch List for CFPA FCS Wide Receiver of the Year

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Senior wide receiver Gerald Stevenson has been named to his second midseason watch list by the CFPA. Last week, Stevenson was named to the midseason watch list for Kick Returner of the Year honors, and now Stevenson’s name has appeared on the list for Wide Receiver of the Year, which was released Thursday.

Stevenson leads the CSU receiving corps with 31 receptions and 539 receiving yards, finding the end zone twice this season. He has nine receptions of 20 yards or more this season and is in the top 50 nationally in receptions per game and receiving yards per game. He is ninth nationally in receiving yards per game with an average of 89.83 yards per contest. Additionally, Stevenson ranks second nationally and first in the Big South with 203.33 all-purpose yards per game, thanks to his NCAA-leading 40.73 yard per return average as the team’s kick returner.
