Women's Golf Takes Home Top Team GPA Honors at Scholar-Athlete BanquetNovember 18, 2010By CSU Sports Information CHARLESTON, S.C. – The women’s golf team took home the most improved women’s team GPA and the highest overall team GPA awards, Wednesday, at the CSU Scholar-Athlete Banquet, held on the campus of Charleston Southern. The banquet is held in honor of all CSU student-athletes who achieve a 3.0 GPA or higher during the previous semester. "Competing in Division I athletics is a tremendous commitment for any college athlete," said Student-Athlete Success Director Christie Faircloth-Dixon. "But devoting long hours to your sport while excelling in the classroom simultaneously, is truly remarkable." The men’s cross country team won the most-improved men’s team GPA award for the second year in a row. In addition to the top team GPA awards, the top scholar-athlete from each team was also recognized. A full list of the top scholar-athletes, as well as photos from the banquet, can be found below.
