Lady Bucs Solid at ETSU Niswonger InvitationalFebruary 4, 2011By CSU SSports Information JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – A personal-best in the 60m dash and four weight throw competitors in the top-20 highlighted day one of the ETSU Niswonger Invitational, Friday. Brittney Greer won her heat in the 60m dash and finished with the 17th-best time of 7.86 seconds, the best time of her career at CSU in just her second race of the season. Greer will compete in the finals of the event on Saturday. In the 60m hurdles, it was Patria Norman who ran 9.53 to finish 23rd overall. Mary Elliott finished fifth in her heat of the 400m dash, running 1:02.39 to finish 75th overall in a huge field. Tia Habersham led a quartet of Lady Bucs in the weight throw with a toss of 14.89m (48-10.75) to finish 12th, while Tenasia White’s toss of 14.46m (47-5.25) put her in 14th. Daisy Whitaker (14.11m, 46-3.5) finished 17th and Breeann Guerra founded out the CSU finishers with a mark of 13.06m (42-10.25). In the shot put, it was Whitaker that represented CSU as she finished 23rd with a toss of 11.27m (36-11.75). Tamisha Foster got out a season-best 11.85m (38-10.50) to finish fifth overall in the triple jump competition, while Deona Jones finished 30th with a mark of 10.10m (33-1.75).
