Bucs Finish Eighth at World Golf Village IntercollegiateApril 5, 2011by CSU Sports Information ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The CSU women’s golf team took eighth place after at the inaugural World Golf Village Intercollegiate, held at the Squire and Slammer Course in St. Augustine, Fla., on Monday. Due to inclement weather, the third and final round was canceled. The Buccaneers shot 322-324-646 to take eighth place after two rounds. Daytona State is currently atop the team leader board with a two-round score of 308-303-611. Daytona State’s Mitsuki Katahira leads all golfers with a score of 73-68-141. Torey Johnson finished 36 holes tied for 12th place. Johnson carded a 79-78-157 to lead the Bucs. Teammate Jordan Hollinshead shot a 78-83-161 and is currently tied for 24th place. Amanda D’Ostroph and Vanessa Jay both sit in 33rd place. D’Ostroph carded a score of 86-78-164, while Jay shot 79-85-164. Katelyn Bensch rounded out the quintet of Buccaneer competitors, taking 47th place after one day of action. Bensch shot 89-87-176. Related Item: Box Score |
