Baseball to Host CSU World Series This Weekend

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston Southern University baseball team will host its annual CSU Parents Weekend World Series this Friday through Sunday at CSU Ballpark.  Game times are set for 2:30 p.m. on Friday, noon on Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.

All three games will consist of seven innings each.  The 36-play roster has been divided into two teams through a draft by the two selected coaches for this season’s World Series.  “Head Coaches” for the games will be senior LHP Charlie McCready and senior RHP Corey Deighan.

Following Saturday’s game, family and friends of CSU baseball are invited to a barbeque at which time head coach Stuart Lake will introduce the 2010 Buccaneers as well as the 2012 coaching staff.  Both coaches and players look forward to seeing fans at the ballpark this weekend.
