CHARLESTON, S.C. – CSU wide receiver Nathan Perera has earned his second honor of the week, earning the College Football Performance Awards’ FCS Wide Receiver of the Week honor for his performance last weekend.
Perera had a career-high 10 catches for 232 yards in the Buccaneers’ 50-31 loss to the Stony Brook Seawolves on Saturday. The sophomore finished just nine yards shy of CSU’s single-game mark, set by Brad Moultrie in 2001 (241 yards). Perera also led the Buccaneers with two touchdowns on the day and is tied for the team lead with three on the season.
CFPA prides itself as being collegiate football’s “most scientifically rigorous conferments.” Individuals receive honors based on objective scientific rankings that determine the player’s overall effectiveness to their team.
CSU will host Coastal Carolina on Saturday in their home finale. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. at Buccaneer Field.
