Game Day Central – CSU vs. CCU

CHARLESTON , S.C. -  The Charleston Southern Buccaneers will host in-state rival Coastal Carolina in their final home game of the season at Buccaneer Field in Charleston on Saturday.  Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m.

The contest will be preceded by the team’s annual Senior Day ceremony.  OL B.J. Baker, K/P Andy Brown, DB O’Brian Campbell, DB Brandan Davis, DB Daniel Dieudonne, RB B.J. Hackworth, DL Delvon King, DB Chris Kuzdale, TE Carson Leshin, OL Levi McFatter, DB Michael Parker, OL Kayson Wharton and DL Matt Woods will all be honored for their time spent in a Buccaneer uniform. 

Charleston Southern trails Coastal Carolina 3-5 in the all-time series, but is 2-2 at home against the Chanticleers.  CCU took last season’s meeting by a score of 70-3 in Conway.  One of the highlights of the series came in 2005, when the Buccaneers defeated the Chants in overtime to win their first ever Big South Conference Championship behind Hall of Fame quarterback Collin Drafts.

Kevin O’Rourke and Jon Davis will team up to call the game on Charleston Sports Talk 1450 AM.  The game will also be streamed online as part of the Big South Network Presented by State Farm.
