Bucs Tune Up for BSC Meet at Tiger Paw InvitationalFebruary 10, 2012by CSU Sports Information CLEMSON, S.C. – Patria Norman and Jasmine King each had personal bests as the Charleston Southern Women’s Track & Field team completed day one of the Tiger Paw Invitational held at the Clemson Indoor Track & field Facility on the campus of Clemson University. Norman took first place in the preliminaries of the 60-meter hurdles with a personal best of 8.66. However, stumble out of the blocks in the finals put her in 11th place with a time of 9.06. King finished 13th in the prelims with a qualifying time of 9.14 before running a personal best of 9.11 in the finals to take 12th place. Norman also competed in the high jump, tying for 13th place with a height of 1.55 meters. Eloisa Paredes was the Bucs’ lone competitor in the mile, taking 26th with a time of 5:24.15. Teammate Susanna McKee had a strong outing in the 500-meter run, taking fourth with a 1:18.51. Adrienne Cuff placed fifth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:31.68 while Heidi Dean took 18th in 19:43.83. Hannah Burkholder picked up a 21st place finish with a time of 20:35.15 as well. Deona Jones and Sequoya Casey were neck-and-neck in the long jump, taking 12th and 13th places respectively. Jones finished with a jump of 5.38 meters, while Casey had a distance of 5.32 meters. Tamisha Foster took 22nd with a distance of 5.07 meters in the event. In the weight throw, Joshlyn Noga took 26th place with a throw of 13.95 meters while Talei Tagavakatini came in 31st with a toss of 12.91 meters. Freshman Katelyn Brummet had a throw of 10.86 meters for 39th place. The Lady Bucs will be back at it again tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. at the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Facility.
