ATLANTA, Ga. – Select members of the CSU women’s track & field team traveled to Atlanta on Friday to take part in the Georgia Tech Invitational as part of a tune up before next week’s NCAA Regionals meet. Gabrielle Houston finished third in the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash, qualifying for the final heat in a time of 11.49. Brittney Greer was 31st overall, taking second in her heat by crossing the finish line in 12.20. In the throws, Joshlyn Noga, who had previously qualified for the Junior National meet to be held in Bloomington, Ind., took second in the shot put with a throw of 13.73 meters. Mulern Jean ran a 14.32 to just miss qualifying for the finals in the 100-meter hurdles, taking eighth in her heat. Teammate Jasmine King took second in her heat with a 14.57. Results for the long jump (Sequoya Casey) and 3,000-meter steeple chase (Adrienne Cuff) were incomplete as of late Friday night. The Bucs will return to the track tomorrow for day two of competition.
