Soccer Exhibition Cancelled

CHARLETSON, S.C. - The women’s soccer scrimmage between Charleston Southern and Armstrong Atlantic has been cancelled due to continued weather concerns this week, as well as poor field conditions. The scrimmage will not be made up.

The preseason match was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, August 11th, but the weather was uncooperative, forcing the teams to set a tentative date of Tuesday. However, with field conditions still not improving and with CSU’s regular season home opener kicking off on Friday, August 17th, the coaches decided to cancel the match.

Charleston Southern opens the 2012 regular season at home on Friday, August 17th, as CSU welcomes The Citadel to the friendly confines of the CSU Soccer Field. Kickoff between the teams is set to begin at 4 p.m.
