Cuff Named Big South Runner of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Adrienne Cuff was named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday morning.

Cuff, a senior from Fort Mill, S.C., turned in a time of 18:34 on the 5K course at the College of Charleston Invitational last weekend. Overall, her time was just 11 seconds off of her program record as she finished second overall and led the Lady Bucs to a second place result at the event.

Gardner-Webb’s Michael McClay was named the Men’s Runner of the Week after taking first place at the Charlotte Duals with a time of 15:52 on the 5K course over the weekend.

The Charleston Southern men’s and women’s cross country teams are back in action on Saturday, September 15th as CSU takes on the field at the Adidas Winthrop Invitational hosted by Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C.
