Baseball Hosts Scout Day Before World Series this WeekendOctober 1, 2012
CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston Southern baseball team recently hosted scout day where players were able to work out in front of over 25 professional scouts at Buccaneer Ballpark.
The workouts consisted of the 60-yard dash, batting practice, defensive work in the infield and outfield then players were able to further showcase their abilities in a short scrimmage. The CSU staff was very excited about the turn out of pro scouts and performance of their draft eligible players.
The baseball team has also announced their annual Parents’ Day Weekend World Series. The Buccaneers will be split into a gold team and a navy team that will compete in a best-of-three series this weekend. Game times will be 3:00 p.m. on Friday, noon on Saturday and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
