Lady Bucs take third at UNC Asheville Invitational

Charleston, S.C. – Charleston Southern senior Adrienne Cuff finished fourth overall to lead Lady Bucs to a third place finish at the 2012 UNC Asheville Invitational run Saturday morning at Swannanoa, N.C.

Cuff ran her second lowest time of the season finishing in 18:41, 24 seconds off the pace set by UNCA’s Emma Bussard, who won the event.

CSU finished third behind host UNCA and Wofford University in the field. Freshman Jessie Dotson joined Cuff with a top ten finish, finishing with a time of 19:08 to take eighth.

Senior Suzanna McKee took 13th overall with a time of 19:36 to give CSU three runners under the 20-minute mark.

Senior Heidi Dean took 22nd and senior Eloisa Parades grabbed 26th for the Lady Bucs five counted scores. Junior Mary Davidson and sophomore Yana Lotspeich finished 30th and 31st, respectively.

The Lady Bucs return to action on Oct. 13 in Charleston at The Citadel Invitational.
