CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern made it two wins in a row, defeating The Citadel, 3-1, in volleyball action on Tuesday night in McAlister Field house. Three of the four games were tightly contested with the Lady Bucs winning, 38-36, 30-22, 29-31, 30-27.
With the win, CSU improves to 7-8 overall and remains 1-2 in the Big South with matches against Liberty and Radford coming up this weekend at home.
The Lady Bucs were led in kills by senior setter Katie O’Riordan, who tallied 16 kills and led in assists with 31. Sophomore middle blocker Canan Erdogan followed O’Riordan with 13 kills, while senior outside hitter Tori Owens added 11 and senior middle blocker Erin Wicker had 10. Defensively, junior outside hitter Olivia Terzo had 25 digs and Erdogan had 12 total blocks.
Charleston Southern will face Liberty at home on Friday, October 7 at 7:00 pm.
