KING'S STRONG DAY LEADS BUCS AT GAMECOCK INVITATIONAL

By CSU Sports Information
Behind the efforts of Andrew King (Anderson, S.C.) the men's cross country team placed fourth in the USC Gamecock Invitational Friay at Ft. Jackson, S.C.

King paced the Bucs' cross country teams with a seventh place finish and an impressive time of 16:07.42 in the 5K run. His time placed him only behind six runners from Charlotte, who helped lead the 49ers to a first place finish on the day.

Other highlights for the Male Bucs included Cornelius Harvin's (Columbia, S.C.) 22nd place finish at 17:05.21 and Ronald Hunter (St. Stephens, S.C.) and Cornelius Harvin (Columbia, S.C.) finishing just two seconds apart to finish in 31st and 32nd places, respectively, for the Invitational.

Pacing the Lady Bucs was Brittany Owens (Pendleton, S.C.), who finished the Women' 5K at a time of just over 20 minutes. Rachel Moss (Florence, S.C.), Niclaudia Ross (Greenville, S.C.), Aundraya Camp (Greenville, S.C.) and Octavia Best also ran for the Lady Bucs.

Both cross country teams will return to action next Friday, when they will compete in the Bulldog Duals at James Island County Park.
