ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Charleston Southern Lady Bucs took 13th overall in the 31-team field at the 2012 Winthrop Invitational run Saturday morning at Winthrop Farm.
Appalachian State took the women’s team title, followed by Liberty, Coastal Carolina, Wofford, and UNC Asheville to round out the top five. CSU finished one spot behind College of Charleston and two spots behind Louisville at the meet.
Senior Adrienne Cuff, the reigning Big South Runner of the Week, finished 20th in the event to lead the Lady Bucs. She ran a time of 18:47, less than a minute off of the pace set by winner, Jemeli Sang of USC Upstate, who ran unattached.
Freshman Jessie Dotson was CSU’s second finisher, taking 60th with a time of 19:29, while senior Susanna McKee was 104th after finishing the course in 20:14.
Senior Heidi Dean was another CSU finisher just after the 20-minute mark, closing the course in 20:17, three second behind McKee. Junior Hannah Burkholder finished eight seconds behind her at 20:25 for CSU’s final score.
Junior Mary Davidson finished 137th at 20:58, while senior Eloise Paredes was 145th after a 21:11.
