Cathryn Broderhausen
Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs

Cathryn began her duties as associate athletic director for external affairs at Charleston Southern in January 2007.  Prior to returning to Charleston, she served as a professional consultant for businesses and organizations, both domestic and international, based out of Texas and California.

She was a major accounts executive at the Ventura County Star and the Daily News of Los Angeles for five years, and worked in the cosmetics industry prior to her advertising work.  She moved to Los Angeles from Charleston to work in the Christian music industry.

She finished her undergraduate work at Masters College in Los Angeles, but initially attended Charleston Southern.  Her father, Vic Lawson, was a music professor for two decades, and her mother Ellen and sister Jeanie also attended Baptist College.

A Charleston native, Cathryn is the youngest daughter and avid college sports fan. 

Jennifer Wilson
Director of Marketing and Promotions

Jennifer Wilson is in her first year as the Director of Marketing and Promotions for Charleston Southern athletics, joining the staff in November of 2012.

Wilson is no stranger to college athletics, as she spent nearly three years in the sports information office at Liberty University from 2008 to 2011. She began her stint with the Flames as a graduate assistant before becoming an Assistant Director of Athletics Communications. While in Lynchburg, she was the primary media contact for softball, volleyball and swimming.

Wilson also has a strong marketing background, having worked in the promotions office for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, a Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. She also spent time doing marketing and PR in the textile and real estate industries, and has assisted in event planning for several organizations in the Charleston area.

Wilson graduated with a B.A. in communications from Elon University in 2003, before obtaining her M.A. in management from Liberty in 2010. She and her husband, Mike, live in Charleston with Cooper, a beagle puppy, and cat, Nellie.
