Barber announces staff promotions and restructuring within the athletic department

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern Athletic Director Jeff Barber announced a number of staff promotions within the athletic department on Friday afternoon. The announcement comes as recognition for a number of key senior staff and leadership that have adjusted to new roles within the framework of the department.

"Progress and success can only be achieved by a team of people pulling together in the same direction," Barber said. "I feel very blessed to have a great group of co-workers that work tirelessly to help build a quality Division I program that will demonstrate success on and off the field."

Tyler Davis – Associate A.D. for Development/Tickets
In his role in the athletic department over the last three years, Davis has seen record enrollment with the Buc Club, as well as helped oversee the development and building of the Singleton Baseball Complex and the Athletic Performance Center. Davis has also taken on heading up the Ticketing Department at CSU. He also serves as the liaison with BSN to help execute the CSU Nike contract. He also helps oversee aspects of football game day operations.

Ashton Turner – Associate A.D. for Compliance/SWA
In her role at CSU, Turner oversees the Charleston Southern Compliance Department, as well as serving as the Buccaneers Senior Women's Administration working with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Over her four years with the Bucs, Turner has taken an active role in ensuring CSU's compliance with all NCAA rules, as well as increased the presence of the SAAC at the school and conference level.

Seth Montgomery – Associate A.D. for Communication/Public Relations
In his role at CSU, Montgomery manages the Sports Information Department, as well as the Athletic Video Communications Department that features all ESPN+ productions. He has served at CSU for seven years working with multiple programs throughout his time and currently heads up all communications and P.R. for the Buccaneer Football, Softball, Cross Country, Track & Field, and Women's Tennis programs.

Betty Palmer – Associate A.D. for Academics
Palmer joins the Athletic Department staff as a full member transitioning from Director of Student-Athlete to Success to the Associate A.D. for Academics. Palmer oversees the Student-Athlete experience in terms of working with the teams and athletes in the classroom, helping with class scheduling and tutoring, as well overseeing study hall, in efforts to guide the athletes from freshman year to graduation.

James Bradley – Associate A.D. for Facilities
Bradley continues to work with the Buccaneers as he assumed the Associate Athletic Director position in charge of facilities. Bradley will continue oversight and upkeep of all CSU's athletic playing fields and courts in his role. He also oversees Game Management Services at CSU.

Anna McSwain – Assistant A.D. for Marketing/Sponsorships/Game Experience
McSwain continues to work on CSU's marketing, promotions, and game day experience with the Buccaneers. Her efforts have included new branding and licensing efforts throughout the athletic department, as well as an increased visibility of Charleston Southern athletics among the student body and community. McSwain's role also includes corporate sponsorships and sales as she works to build a growing base of support within the Lowcountry.
