FARMVILLE, Va. - Longwood used a 13-0 run early in the second half to offset Tatum Jarvis' season-high 23 points as Charleston Southern fell on the road in Big South Conference action on Saturday afternoon to the Lancers inside Willett Hall, 79-71.

With the score at 50-49 following a layup from Nayla Long with 12:25, the Buccaneers were held scoreless over the next three minutes as the Lancers went on a 13-0 run led by six points by LW's Deborah Headen over the stretch. The Bucs fought all the way back, bringing the game to within two possessions with 34 seconds  remaining on a pair of Alise Karlsone free throws, but the Bucs were unable to complete the comeback as Shauntavia Dobson's three-pointer rattled out as the Lancers held on for the conference win.

CSU falls to 3-15, 0-10 in Big South Conference action on the year after finishing their first tour through the conference slate. Longwood improves to 3-16, 3-7 in conference play with the win.
