Terrill signs six to the 2020 signing class

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern head women's soccer coach Eric Terrill announced the 2020 signing class on Monday evening as the Buccaneers welcome six players to the upcoming 2020-21 roster.

The class features a blend of skill and talent as the Buccaneers welcome athletes from New Jersey, Maryland, North Carolina, and Georgia to the roster. The 2019 fall signing class also features a pair of players from Carl Leschinski's PDA Shore Wave club team (Abby Angelucci & Emma Ryan), with noted CSU soccer players Dakota Fiedler and alums Emilie Gilbert and Alyssa Dellacqua all coming from the program to join the Buccaneers.

CSU looks to continue building off a 2019 season that put the Buccaneers back in the postseason. The Bucs advanced to the Big South quarterfinal round after posting a 7-10-2 record with a 3-5-2 mark in conference play.

Terrill is pleased with the skill set and abilities brought by the signing class as he looks to blend the six athletes in with a returning group that features 10 returning starters from the 2019 season.

"In recruiting we are always trying to address needs," Terrill said. "I feel like this class is an excellent fit with the players in the program already. I feel like we will bolster an already talented attacking group with proven goal scores and creative attacking players. We also have two decorated defenders coming that will strengthen a defense that we are rebuilding. I'm super excited about the direction of the team and what these six will bring to the table."
