CHARLESTON – The Men's Cross Country Team opened their 2025 fall with a victory at the CSU Buccaneer Open on Friday morning.
Liam O'Donnell came away with the individual victory with a time of 19:28.8.
The newcomers were majority of the field for the Buccaneers in the race as they made their collegiate debuts. Jack Medine took an individual runner-up finish with a time of 19:34.5.
Andrew Cleland and
Earlon Baker were fourth and fifth at 19:41.1 and 19:41.3.
Heyden Christensen rounded out the scoring five for Charleston Southern with a time of 19:48.2
As a team, Charleston Southern ended with a perfect score of 15 points for the team title. The Citadel finished in second and SCAD Savannah was third. S.C. State was fourth and Columbia College took fifth.
The Buccaneers will be back in action on Saturday, September 13 to race the Furman Invitational in Greenville, South Carolina.
